Yellow there..or should i say Hello!
I’M Rowena Augustine from the lush island of Borneo and i’m the banana-loving brain behind squeaky and B.
Here is how this adventure began:
• about 7 years ago, i jumped into the world of graphic design - splashing colours, doodles and big ideas everywhere. somewhere in between, i spent 3 years as a video editor, snipping and stitching stories together.
• i Met my partner, jOE ridgely (jp) who creates the most whimsical puppet characters. His playful world sparked my imagination and soon we were tossing ideas back and forth like juggling bananas.
• together, we discovered a love for quirky short stories. out of this back and forth banter, squeaky (the orangutan) and b (the banana bread) came back to life. ready to squeak, squish and spread joy!
• Through this process, Squeaky and B were reborn and bring the characters to life.
Our Life’s adventure
• between the two of us, we have wandered through 53 countries, collecting stories, friendships and more airport/port snacks than we can count.
• These adventures inspired me to create personalised squeaky and B cartoons, so everyone can hold on to their own slice of special memories.
• meeting so many wonderful people along the way taught us that every culture, every smile and every story is a spark of inspiration.
• through our own mix of backgrounds, we hope squeaky and b can remind others that love, laughter and a little weirdness can bring worlds together.
